Summary:
It's been an honor to coach at Rocky Point for 12 years. I started out coaching the Middle School team, and loved it! The following year I took the Junior Varsity coaching position. It was not long after that the Athletic director offered me the Varsity position,and I took it. One of the main reasons I got involved with coaching is my daughter Samantha, I think at the time she was 6 years old, and I simply wanted to get involved. I thought it would be fun to coach her some time in the future. Building the program over the years was not easy, it took a lot of time and commitment, from me and the coaching staff. I have to say that it was the most amazing feeling when after all these years our program got recognized as the best on Long Island. Their hard work, skills and entusiasum, was rewarded when the Rocky Point Cheerleaders finally accomplished one of their biggest goals, by winning the title Long Island Champions for 2006. We also came in 1st and were Regional champs two years in a row 2005 & 20006, and took our second National trip to Florida. My daughter's senior year was certainly one she, and her squad, will never forget!
